Minutes of HCR Club Meeting

January 4th, 2007 ó Yakima Athletic Club

Barry called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. Members present: Barry James, Lorrie Smith, Pat and Karen Miller, Bill and Virginia Nicholson, Jean Zahn, Bob and Lenore Dolphin, Jean Flores, Tony Sagare, Elizabeth Tutsch, Jack and Janis Carlton.

The minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted.

Treasurerís report: Jean said we had a positive cash flow for the month. Major expenses were for Frosty 4 entry forms, shirt design and gift cards. Income was from dues, and Frosty 4 entries.

Membership: Tony said we had 230 members in October so we paid membership dues for 225 members to RRCA. We had 3 new members. Membership now stands at 147 so we have a lot of members that still need to renew.

Newsletter: Frank wasnít for a newsletter report. Running reminders are on the web site for January and February. The web site has been updated as of Dec. 31st.

Social runs: Elizabeth said there were about 20 at the Christmas light fun run. Regular weekly runs are taking place Wed., 6:00 pm., at Franklin Park.

Old business: Winter race series attendance is about normal.

Frosty 4: Karen is looking into an alternative to medals for awards. Progress is being made on the shirts. Posters and flyers are out. Volunteers are still needed.

YRCM: Entry forms are being widely distributed. Registrations are coming in earlier that usual.

Clock status: It seems to be ok. Barry has spent a lot of time charging and running it down and it seems to be functioning normally. The only thing wrong was that the light indicating a full charge is coming on shortly after charging begins.

New business: "Run the ditch" marathon and training run is for February 17th at the Klarichís. This will apparently be a replacement run for their annual Super Bowl run. Itís going to be a bare bones full marathon. No shirts, no medals, out and back course with very limited support. The Ĺ marathon turnaround point will be marked for those wanting to do that distance.

Pat has checked in a club banner. A 6' x 3' cost $140. It was decided to look into it further and get some design samples.

Meeting adjourned: 7:15 pm.
